I ran across this healing questionnaire thanks to a wow.com link at:
http://missmedicina.blogspot.com/2009/10/its-webring-of-healings.html

You can see answers from various classes at:
http://missmedicina.blogspot.com/2009/10/circle-of-healers.html

I though it would be neat if we could get our own healers to respond and share experiences /opinions. I'll try to get around to it later tonight but I'd love to hear the other healer's class opinions on this type of thing!

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer?
Logrus / Priest / Disc & Holy

* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans)
Raids.

* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why?
Holy: Prayer of healing; fast way to heal a lot of people. Disc: Penance; fast way to catch up a single target.

* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why?
Both specs: Greater heal; cast time is too long for when you really need it.

* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why?
Disc: Bubbles; it front loads damage mitigation for one or many (though tedious for groups).
Holy: Burst AoE healing; it can put a raid back on its feet very quickly.

* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why?
You have to dual spec heals to be flexible enough for raids (not a bad thing, esp. since Disc can cover PvP too).

* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?
Disc: Tank healing. Holy: Raid healing.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?
This is the only healer I have played—no opinion.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?
This is the only healer I have played—no opinion.

* What is your worst habit as a healer?
Throwing an AoE heal that only hits 1-2 targets.

* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?
Personal: Being in the wrong spec for what is needed. Group: Folks that stand in fire/poison and ignore their health bar.

* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?
For the most part.

* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer?
1. No dead people. 2. Recount (healing meters).

* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?
That Disc is a poor healing spec because it produces low healing numbers on a meter. Nothing with Holy.

* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?
Disc: Timing Penance. Holy: Driving the front end of AoE healing with Flash Heals.

* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?
Disc: Low healing output, very low overhealing. Holy: Large healing numbers with moderate overhealing.

* Haste or Crit and why?
Assuming that spell power is in line, typically crit for Disc and mana regen for Holy. Haste takes care of itself with logical gear.

* What healing class do you feel you understand least?
Shaman.

* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?
Healbot and Decursive.

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
I try to stack a balance between spell power, intellect, and Mp5 (mana regen). Disc requires more crit.

-Logrus-
* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer?
Fredphelps, Priest, Discipline

* What is your primary group healing environment?
10-25m Raids

* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why?
Prayer of Mending because I throw a shield on my tank, toss a renew, then fling a PoM and it allows me time to tab to the other tank without letting my primary target die.

* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why?
I never use greater heal. I'll generally always have the Penance on hand and it's instant cast.

* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why?
Biggest strength of the Priest class is extreme versatility between different healing styles and roles such as raid heals (holy) and single target heals (disc).

* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why?
I'm not familiar with Holy spec, but as Discipline, the hardest thing is not being able to gage my performance (recount) as compared to other healing classes. A lot of our abilities are meant to mitigate damage rather than heal through it, so it doesn't show up as a heal.

* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?
As Discipline, my best assignment is tank or single target healing. I can easily manage keeping a tank and OT alive by myself in a 10m.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?
I enjoy healing with my Priest more than with my Pally. The pallies seem to be more haste and gimmick where the priest is more of an art-form managing the different buffs (PW:Sh, Renew, PoM, Pain Sup) while still throwing Flash Heals and Penances. It's more complicated which, to me, makes it more fun. I like that there are about umpteen different spells for various scenarios and having to quickly come up with a solution and a choice on the fly... Pally healing is 1 of like 5 spells. /faceroll

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?
Rogue Bandaid Spec FTL... actually, Pallies are my least fave to heal with... so boring, no offense.

* What is your worst habit as a healer?
Not paying attention to my OWN health and dying.

* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?
DPS Warriors pulling aggro off tank and having to waste a Penance on them; or warlocks...grumble.

* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?
Yes. I think at least one Disc priest is a necessity in any raid simply for their extra avoidance for tanks via bubbles and cooldowns.

* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer?
Impossible really; the best gage is if the tanks are still alive in the end.

* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?
"Fredphelps is only doing 2k Healing... drop him from raid." Um, when a disc priest blows shammies and pallies out of the water in 25m Ony, you have a problem with your shammies and pallies.

* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?
Learning what kind of caster gear is appropriate for your spec and playing style. There are two styles of playing a disc priest: spamming and timing. You can spam heals to "catch" damage after it breaks through your bubble. This will be more Intel and Regen focused for gear as you hit with lots of smaller heals. The other style is timing and making the heals count. You have a smaller mana pool, but you hit with fewer, bigger heals.

* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)? Comparatively low HPS as compared to other healing classes and especially to a Holy priest.

* Haste or Crit and why?
Haste is helpful for both styles of disc healing, but not necessary as Flash Heal will be your most commonly used cast bar, most everything else is instant (cept for maybe Mass Dispel); enough haste will come with your Crit/SP gear.

* What healing class do you feel you understand least?
I've never healed with a Druid, so I am baffled at how they can manage so many hots on so many people and still manage to top the charts.

* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?
xPerl unit frames w/clique for dispelling... I click heal but have a few mouse-over macros for oh shit's and shields. I am used to it that way... I think HealBot and other overlay addons are intrusive esp since I'm so used to playing melee or tanky types and am used to needing to look around as easily as possible; it's a loyalty thing.

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
As I said before, I focus mainly on Spell Power and Crit. Intel is my 3rd highest. My Haste and Regen come from my gear and are pretty decent, but I don't focus on them. I gem for SP, Crit, and Intel.

"Friendship is like peeing your pants. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel it's true warmth."
As per Amber's request, I am going to try to be serious...

* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer?
Pegasus Hamilton III, the Holy Pally

* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans)
seems like 5 man these days

* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why?
Flash of Light, fast = spam + crits = mana

* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why?
Holy Shock, I sometimes forget that its a healing spell. I only use it while i am running or "agh im supposed to only heal the tank but my friend is about to die" situations.

* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why?
Beacon of Light, ensures holy pallies' place as tank healers... and when I start to get ADD and heal people I shouldn't even be looking at, I can still heal Yink.

* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why?
Literally no spell for group healing... and dont you rebuttle with Beacon or inscription induced Holy Light .

* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?
Yinko-healing.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?
This is the only healer I have played—no opinion.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?
This is the only healer I have played—no opinion.

* What is your worst habit as a healer?
Spacing out while spam heals or wanting to sneak a hit with mah mace.

* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?
Thos darn gnome warlocks draining their own health for mana... like dude, I just healed you... we aren't even fighting yet, go eat a fish.

* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?
Well I mean, pallies are usually the very last to die...so count on us to prolonging the wipe when we want to continue healing the tank while everyone else is dead.

* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer?
Did Yink die?
Did Total whisper me asking what the hell am I doing?

* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?
That mana is never an issue.

* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?
Minding cooldowns for Sacred Shield, Beacon of Light, Judgements.

* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?
Low Healing.

* Haste or Crit and why?
Crit... crits give me more mana.

* What healing class do you feel you understand least?
Shaman.

* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?
Grid, pallypower

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
spell power and intellect.

Pegasus
Professional Healer
"If I can't heal you, free rez guarantee..."
* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer?

Resto Shaman, Lovinmachine....AKA McLovin

* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans)

5 mans and I pug a lot of ten mans and 25 mans whenever I can.

* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why?

Earthshield!! Set it and forget it homey. Seriously, I love this spell it allows me to have a crap-ton of effective healing on the tank while still throwing the jesus beams all over the raid. Nice EH buffer for your tank.

* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why?

I guess Greater Healing Wave, but its actually a really good spell. I just don't get an opportunity to use it very often because it will most likely wind up as over healing because of those damn pally's.

* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why?

The ability to be an equally effective raid healer and tank healer. Also, our AoE heal is a direct heal and not a sissy limp wristed HoT. Shaman also have good utility with our windsheer (best interupt evah!), hex, and huge variety of totems at our disposal. We can also dps pretty easily while healing.

* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why?

Mobility! I hate the inch-worm "oh shit slither". Also, Shamans do not scale as well in 25 man content because the chain heal becomes a little less effective the more people there are to heal with it.

* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?

I like tank healing, but I think I enjoy raid healing a little more because I feel like it has more of a team thing going on. Ie, Can't blame me I'm the raid healer!!

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?

I've only healed on my shaman, but I really like healing with druids. I think shaman have good synergy with druids because there hots are constantly providing a nice buffer for the raid and it gives me time to get a fatty chain heal off to provide some direct healing before they die. I think druids probably hate shaman because we eat into a big chunk of their effective healing and turn it into overhealing (whateva! I do what I want tree!)

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?

I would say priest because without your fortitude buff what do you got!?? Nothin thats what!

* What is your worst habit as a healer?

Not paying attention during sports center highlights. Sometimes when a tank doesn't seem to be taking very much damage I will stop paying attention and let them die because I am trying to get off an uber lava burst crit.

* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?

People who do less than 1.5k dps and then say it is the healers fault that the group is fail. People who die without using their healthstone and/or their self healing cooldowns or survival abilities to help buy the healer some time.

* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?

Yeah it seems ok. I think chain heal should be jumping to five people though.

* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer?

Overall healing output and effective healing. Did I die to avoidable damage? Did we win?

* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?

That we are strictly a raid healing class. Shamans are actually really nice tank healers with earthshield and a fast cast greater healing wave that can probably crit at 20k for high gear levels. We also have the 10% less damage buff and can stick it on lots of people via our chain heal.

* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?

Best thing that I have learned is being smart about where I am positioned so that I can use my own body to help bridge my chain heal to other people.

* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?

I'm still pretty new to healing. I find that I am usually in the middle of the pack, although I usually have the least amount of overhealing.

* Haste or Crit and why?

Haste, Haste, and more haste. This fits my personal style and I have been finding that it gives the biggest impact on my healing throughput. I don't have a whole lot of mana issues since my water shield restores mana whenever one of my healing spells crits.

* What healing class do you feel you understand least?

Disc Priest. Your shields confuse, yet intrigue me...

* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?

Healbot, cause thats what I am....beep beep heal...

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?

Screw balance. Moar Haste!! I try and get enough stats, such as crit, spell power, and intel from gear, but I try and socket purely haste and look for it on all of my upgrades. I like everyting fast....fast cars, fast women, and fast food are all some of my favorite things.

"Remember what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except for herpes. That shit'll come back with you."
* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer?

Amberlee - holy paladin

* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans)

Healing 10 and 25 man raids. I rarely heal heroics anymore (prefer to tank them).

* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why?

Beacon of Light how I love ye! Throwing that spell on someone means I can nearly forget about them and heal everyone else and they will, in all probability, stay alive. Thanks overheal!

* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why?

The easy-out answer to this is lay on hands - 11 min cooldown I've talented into. I tend to save it for the 'oh crap' moment but since that doesn't always come it doesn't always get used. But hey a mana free instant giant heal is fantastic! With a cooldown for the person too.

* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why?

Our ability to nuke the tank with large quick heals.

* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why?

In general, I get frustrated by our lack of mobility which can make it tricky to heal sometimes. Example: Casting holy light. You are ALMOST done the cast timer when you realize you've been targetted with a rocket. You move immediately to get out, then you have to RESTART your cast timer for holy light. Meanwhile the tank's health has plummeted to abysmal levels and you hyperventilate while hoping he doesn't die in those costly seconds.

Our lack of a good AOE heal is also a weakness, but since I am assigned to tanks 95% of the time in raids this isn't as big a deal. It's more like "oh hey that's not my problem"

* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?

Tank healing. And not being assigned to just one tank - Since I will be beaconing one and healing another, I need two to focus on. If I beacon and heal the same person it's like wasting my beacon/cutting my heals in half by 50%. Fights with one tank? GAH! I barely know what to do with myself.

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?

An AOE healing class because we complement each other's abilities. In my experience resto druids give a nice buffer zone keeping up people while we are casting our nuke heals. Gooo resto druids! Priests are similar in this magical bufferability. Is that a word?

* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?

There's kind of two answers here. I LOVE having a second holy pally to beacon each other's tanks, etc. In fact, I think two holy pallies in a 25 man raid is very important - between us we will keep up both tanks.

But a third pally in the mix drives me absolutely bonkers! We keep overwriting each other's sacred shields, and overhealing tanks. OHHH the confusion.

Yegads, if only sacred shield would a) stack or b) not overwrite so we wouldn't keep recasting it thinking it ran out instead of being overwritten.

* What is your worst habit as a healer?

It used to be watching my beacon/shield timers until I got my timer addon clcbpt. Now they're easy to keep up. My worst habit right now is probably tunnel vision on the tanks. Even though it is my job I occasionally need to hop off the tanks to help out the other healers. It's important to remember not to do this regularly though.

* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?

When a DPS says: HEAL ME! I have several responses to that which may or may not include an evil glare.

a) Stop standing in fire genius!
b) Stop pulling aggro genius!
c) Tank is more important than you for heals! If the tank dies, the boss is gonna getcha!
d) I'm more important than you for heals! If I'm dead I can't heal you!
e) I can SEE your health dipping low on grid. I'm not blind.
f) I'm trying to save mana for the upcoming intense part of the fight. The druid's hot will top you off if you wait a second, sheesh.
g) Don't life tap before an AOE explosion!
h) Hmm...I could go on for awhile here...

* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?

I think holy paladins have their strengths and weaknesses like the rest. I would say yes.

* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer?

Since my job is a tank healer, the most important thing is that the tank is alive at the end of the fight. If a few dps are dead I don't feel great about it but the priority is the tanks.

I also look at recount to see what spells I use, at what %, and how much overheal I have on which spell, etc. I really wish there was a more reliable indicator to track damage absorption through sacred shield.

* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?

Paladins are not just two button healers anymore. Things have changed a lot since BC. You can BE a two button healer if you want to heal badly. Otherwise you need to fit multiple spells into your rotation.

a) You need to judge regularly. This is important to keep up your haste buff so you can heal faster. This requires you to target OFF your heal target losing a second of time. Also, please oh please try NOT to judge a polymorphed or CCed mob. Coz it's bad. And it will eat your face. Also if you are the only paladin judging light, try to keep up the JoL buff every 30 seconds (or 40 if you have the set bonus).

b) Beacon of Light must be up at ALL times in a multiple tank fight. If you let it drop off ... well let's just say it's bad. It's also a relatively mana intensive spell so it helps to glyph for it to be longer, and only re-cast at the very end so as not to waste mana.

c) Sacred shield - this is important though not as important as beacon. Keep track of it on a timer addon as well. If you keep it up on the tank it reduces incoming spikey damage.

d) The sacred shield hot - You can't always keep this rolling due to needing to cast flash of light and if people are taking big damage they need bigger heals and it wastes seconds of time. However if you can cast it, try to keep it up. It's our fake-druid spell!

e) Divine Plea - How I love/hate you. Hooray for mana regen. Boo for 50% reduced healing over 15 seconds. That's a LONG TIME. We don't always get a break in a fight to use this. So timing is crucial. Try to keep it running on cooldown but if there is mass incoming tank damage you MUST click it off or use a cancel aura macro so you won't be stuck at 50% reduced heals aka tank death.

f) Divine Favour - Great for holy shock so that it will crit and get an instant flash of light on the tank. Good for when the tank runs away from you like a maniac. You can throw it on him while chasing after him screaming for him to regain his senses.

h) Let's not forget hand of sacrifice - Good to use on a tank to reduce incoming damage. But you usually end up needing to use Divine Shield at the same time, or the tank's damage transferred to you will kill you. Ouch.

i) Blessing of protection- the much loved and ballyhooed bop is now actually Hand of protection or a hop. HOP ME! HOP ME! Familiar words from DPS no? It saves a madly AOEing mage or warlock, and warriors/hunters mostly stand around stunned trying to figure out why they can't attack but only wave at things for a few seconds. But hey, it saves their life and prevents them from getting more threat. So deal with it melee! DEAL WITH IT!

j) Divine illumination - Reduces mana cost by 50% for a few seconds. It's crucial to time this spell right due to the cooldown. Use it right before a big damage phase of the fight when you know you will need to use holy light more, and don't forget to refresh beacon while it is only half cost mana too.

And let us not forget lay on hands, cleanse, HOLY SHOCK!! etc..

* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?

Yes flash is fun. Yes it is nice, cheap on mana and speedy. However, in raids and especially in hard modes we cannot rely on it. You need a combination of spells to keep people up. A flash of light only healer is not enough. Use all the spells in your arsenal.

* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?

In general, loooots of overheal. That's due to two sources- #1 being judgement of light (depending on the fight) doing overheal, and #2 being beacon of light. Since both tanks get healed the same, if one tank is taking massive damage the other tank still gets healed for the same even if they are only getting hit a little. All that extra hps is overheal.

* Haste or Crit and why?

Tricky, tricky. I pick option C - Intellect. It gives us crit and helps Divine Plea do a lot more regen (since it's based off your mana).

If I had to pick between haste and crit? It depends how much haste I already have. When you start to get near the haste soft cap crit becomes much more important. Until you have at -least- 500 haste, I'd say haste is better than crit. Soft cap is 600 something.

* What healing class do you feel you understand least?

Resto shamans! I have never rolled one and honestly don't really know what they all do beyond chain heal. Do they have hots? Do they have big single target heals? What's up with the earth shield? Totem forests? Soooo clueless.

* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?

a) Grid. Hooray for being able to see all raid member's health at once. I usually pull out the two (or 3) tanks separately to keep an extra eye on them and not lose them in the big square of boxes.

b) Clique - yes I finally bound mouse clicks to my healing spells, and let me tell you that while it took a few weeks to get the hang off there is no going back. Saves me from having to target each person - instead I can just mouseover and click. Incidentally, using clique/grid to heal with my mouse occasionally requires more moving around with the keyboard as a result. For some healers we end up doing it a bit backwards that way.

c) CLCBPT - My favourite paladin addon! HELLO TIMERS! How I love thee. It tracks beacon of light, sacred shield, your judgement haste buff and the sacred shield hot on multiple tanks. You can customize it to your preferences. Although the addon could definitely benefit from a better name. Yeesh. Anyway google clcbpt paladin addon and it will come up.

d) Pallypower - With more than one paladin this addon is crucial, especially for managing those 10 minute buffs. 10 minute buffs how I loathe thee. Ye are the bane of my existence!!! And if anyone wants to say "10 minute buffs are easy, stop the QQ" give me a second while I go bang my head on the wall.

* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?

Intellect as mentioned in one of the rants above. More int = more crit. More int = more mana = more regen for Divine Plea.

Holy- Timing PoH and CoH right with other healers so the cast is just overhealing
* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?

I PLAY A DRUID I REJUV AND I'M STILL OP!!!! 1 BUTTON HEALER FTW!!!!
* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer? Lord Quasimoto, resto druid
* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans) BGs
* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why? rejuv cause I can cast it and keep running
* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why? healing touch. cast time is too long. If I can get around a corner and hide, its ok.
* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why? mobility/instant HoTs
* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why? HoTs take a scond or 2 to setup.
* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you? anything, raid heals but decent MT heals too
* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why? shaman or druid, since they require a little more variety in spell types
* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why? paladin, 1 button spam
* What is your worst habit as a healer?burning through mana
* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing?People thinking since they have heals, theyre invincible
* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing?donno, havent played all the healing classes at high levels, so my opinion isnt hugely relevant in game balancing
* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer? Is everyone alive?
* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class?all night elves dress like hippies
* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn?how to roll lifeblooms
* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)?"How did this level 20 get in our raid?!"
* Haste or Crit and why? haste, cause I use HoTs silly
* What healing class do you feel you understand least? all of them, I speak melee not healbot
* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing? questhelper is my only addon atm lol
* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why? intellect and spell power atm, dont have access to much of anything alse

Wow Amberlee Amazing Post! Great posts by all by the way, very interesting read. Keep leveling Quasimoto! Also, let me know if you want to run some SM or something I have a level 24 ish pally tank! When I first started playing this game the least interesting role seemed to be that of a healer, but the longer I play the game the more interesting it becomes because it is the most "different" of all three of the roles. I feel like as a healer you have the most influence on whether or not your group is successful, even more so than a tank. Tanking certainly plays a huge role in a groups success by minimizing the damage to the raid, using your cool downs at the right time, and controling the pace and positioning, but if a healer is on the ball they can cover up a ton of mistakes or "retard proof" an encounter/raid.

As a healer the whole group is at your mercy, which is outstanding! Somebody blaming the healer for failing...kk no more heals for you this evening you giant douche. When you are tanking you can't just not tank a mob because you run the risk of it running crazily through your group and killing your healer, but as a healer it is easy to single somebody out for the purposes of exacting your revenge. Mwhahahahaha!!!! Oh so satisfying...

I once shot a man in Goldshire just to watch him die...
I thought I was the most influential person determining if the group was succesful or not.

got 2 or 3 levels today, tried to get a group to run dungeons but no luck. I hate questing so I level slowly in BGs and the occasional dungeon. ><

My mage finally hit 20... I can do SM with you too!

Um, Amber, you must have eaten a whole handful of sugar cubes before you wrote that! Hehe! I've always said I hate Pally healing (hence being Prot/Ret) and I think it probably has a lot to do with the fact that I know nothing about it. I've seriously played every class in the game, pretty much all specs, but Holy Paladin is the one I played the least (mainly because I was too busy being asked to tank). I think when cataclysm comes out in, oh, a year, I may try out healing 10 mans once I hit lvl cap... Prot/Holy... for a while anyway.

I think u can start running SM graveyard around 29-30 unless you have a high level carrying you. Lvl 20 is perfect for Shadowfang keep, Blackfathom depths, Deadmines, WC and you can start running Stocks. When you get later in the 20s, you can start hitting up Razorfen Kraul and then SM. The various wings of SM+Razorfen Downs you can do to almost 40. Then Uldaman. Then Mauradon/Sunken Temple, then BRD, then outlands!

you're carrying me right?

My shammy is 36.

* What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer? Holy Pally
* What is your primary group healing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans) 25 mans
* What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why? holy shock because its keybound and I can actually move when I cast it
* What healing spell do you use least for your class and why? lay on hands....I have no idea why I don't use this more. I am going to keybind it this week.
* What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why? Well we don't die fairly easy and the bubble alone is pretty leet but Beacon is one of the other stregths especially with a cross beacon.
* What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why? We have no AOE heal really.
* In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you? tank healing
* What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why?have healed with an 80 priest but I didn't know what I was doing and I was out of mana fairly early in the fight
* What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why?
* What is your worst habit as a healer? not looking at the ground below me...all I see are bars. Getting better but I really focus too much on the health bars.
* What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing? when people yell for heals..when people yell continually for a buff, there is usually a reason they haven't been buffed yet and blame the healer game. Which I am glad to say isn't the case in SG
* Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing? Well not exactly, I think the other healers have a lot more healing abilities then we do
* What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer? wowstats, sometimes recount but I try not to look at recount because Pallies overheal like crazy and recount reminds me of that
* What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class? none that I can think of
* What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn? nothing that I can think of
* If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)? over heals, a lot of holy shocks which likely saved someones life. I have always been a FOL spammer x3...but now it's difficult to even throw one up to get the debuff. Need to work on that a bit, maybe once I get a few more items it won't be such an issue.
* Haste or Crit and why? Intellect right now however I stacked all haste before and it was pretty cool but my mana pool sucked, good for short fights tho
* What healing class do you feel you understand least?shammy
* What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing?some add on Amber gave me, I can't remember what it is called and pally power. I have all sorts of macros and spells keybound
* Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
Currently I am stacking itellect which is working well so far.
